A vehicle may have a head-up display that produces a display output allowing a viewer in the vehicle to observe two-dimensional or three-dimensional content. The head- up display may include a display unit that produces the display output and an optical combiner on a vehicle window that directs the display output towards the viewer. The optical combiner may be a holographic or diffractive optical element or may be an array of angled reflectors such as micromirrors embedded in an index-matching material. Optical combiners formed from holographic elements may be configured to reflect light at an angle of reflection that is different than the angle of incidence, thereby allowing light to reach a viewer's eyes even when the head-up display reflects light off of a side window on a vehicle door. A holographic optical element may include volume holographic media such as photopolymers or holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal.

[Problem] To appropriately manage service life of a cartridge in a cartridge used in an imaging device, and an imaging device. [Solution] This developer cartridge 1 comprises a detection gear 52 having a first protrusion 521, and a cartridge IC 62. The imaging device has a sensor that detects movement of the first protrusion 521. The imaging device writes new product determination information to the cartridge IC 62 if the detection signal from the sensor has a new product waveform. As a consequence, it is possible to determine on the basis of information inside the cartridge IC 62 whether the new production detection of that developer cartridge 1 has already been completed in the imaging device. Therefore, it is possible to verify special situations, such as when new product determination information can be obtained from the first protrusion 521, regardless of whether new product determination information has already been stored in the cartridge IC 62. As a consequence, it is possible to appropriately manage the service life of the developer cartridge 1.

[Problem] To appropriately manage service life of cartridges in cartridges used in imaging devices, and in imaging devices. [Solution] This developer cartridge 1 comprises a detection gear 52, a first protrusion 521, the position of which moves in accordance with the rotation of the detection gear 52, and a cartridge IC 62. First yield information is stored on the cartridge IC 62. The imaging device has a sensor that detects movement of the first protrusion 521. The imaging device verifies the quantity of developer within the developer cartridge 1 or the number of sheets that can be printed with the remaining developer, on the basis of first yield information read from the cartridge IC 62 and second yield information obtained on the basis of the detection signal from the sensor. As a consequence, it is possible to appropriately manage the service life of the cartridge, even in special situations such as incorrect use or incorrect detection.

Provided is a structure whereby rubbing of an electrical contact surface can be suppressed when attaching a developing cartridge. The developing cartridge 1 has: a case 10 housing a developing agent therein; a storage medium 61 having an electrical contact surface 611; a holder 62 holding the electrical contact surface 611; and an elastic member 73. The elastic member 73 is capable of expanding and contracting in a first direction, between a first state and a second state in which the elastic member 73 is contracted further than in the first state. An outer surface of the holder 62 , holding the electrical contact surface 611 , is arranged at a first position when the elastic member 73 is in the first state and at a second position when the elastic member 73 is in the second state. In this way, the position of the outer surface of the holder 62 holding the electrical contact surface 611 is changed in the first direction. As a result, rubbing of the electrical contact surface 611 can be suppressed when attaching the developing cartridge 1.

The segments (12S) of weft insertion strands (12-2) may have different widths relative to one another and relative to the width of the fabric (20). The weft insertion strands (12-2) may be inserted into the warp knitting machine (28) across the warp strands (12-1) using a weft insertion device (84) that is positioned by a computer-controlled positioner (86).
