Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Offenend-Rotorspinnen ist die Auflösewalze in einem Schwenkgehäuse untergebracht. Das Schwenkgehäuse kann zusammen mit der eingebauten Auflösewalze bei laufender Maschine von der Vorrichtung zum Offenend-Rotorspinnen abgenommen werden. Die Auflösewalze läuft nach der Trennung von dem sie antreibenden Tangentialriemen auf Grund ihrer Masse weiter. Erfindungsgemäß ist eine Sperre vorgesehen, um das Abnehmen des Schwenkgehäuses bei laufender Auflösewalze zu verhindern. Hierdurch wird erreicht, dass die Auflösewalze bei abgenommenem Schwenkgehäuse stillsteht. Die Gefahr der Verletzung durch die weiterlaufende Auflösewalze ist beseitigt.
