A tensioned riser deepwater platform suitable for offshore oil and gas applications is disclosed having a foundation (16) secured to the ocean floor, a topside facility above the ocean surface, and a vertically extending tower jacket (12) secured to the foundation and supporting the topside facility. A plurality of substantially vertically extending risers provide fluid communication between the wells and the topside facility. These risers are connected to riser supports near their upper ends and the riser supports provide the pricipal load transfer between the risers and the tower jacket. Thus, the conductor guides and attendant horizontal bracing of conventional deepwater design can be substantially eliminated.

Das Element (1) ist beispielsweise eine Aluminiumplatte, die einen Wärmeträger bildet und die durch Abdeckgläser (15) hindurch nachführbar der Sonnenstrahlung ausgesetzt ist. Das an der Fläche (1b) aufgespritzte Wasser verteilt sich flächig über das Element (1) und wird durch die in diesem Element gespeicherte Wärme verdunstet. Das verdunstete Wasser gelangt durch einen Ausgang (27) zu einem Kondensator (10) in welchem der Wasserdampf kondensiert wird und schliesslich an einem Ausgang (12) als Süsswasser, beispielsweise zum Bewässern von Grünanlagen zur Verfügung steht. Das zu entsalzende Meerwasser wird vorzugsweise in vorbestimmten Abständen nur wenige Sekunden gegen die Unterseite des Elementes (1) gespritzt. Zum Reinigen des Elementes (1) ist vorgesehen, beispielsweise jede Stunde etwa 1 bis 1,5 Minuten Meerwasser gegen die Unterseite des Elementes (1) zu spritzen und dadurch abgelagertes Salz und Verunreinigungen wegzuspülen.

A material made from small pieces of 'pith', the vegetable matter formed between the fibres surrounding coconuts, and having a size of 0.2-2 mm and a corklike texture. The pieces are coated with a binder and polymerised. The small pieces of pith may then be combined with short and/or long coconut fibres, and/or with finely ground coconut husks. The resulting material is compact, impervious, rot-proof, insect-proof and non-flammable. Densities of around 0.7 kg/dm³ are achieved.

The present invention pertains to the mining industry and more precisely relates to methods for extracting diamonds from diamond-containing raw materials. This invention can particularly be used for extracting diamonds from ore in diamond-bearing tubes. This diamond extraction method comprises disintegrating the starting raw material, sorting out the disintegrated raw material according to size classes, performing a first separation of the sorted raw material, disintegrating the middlings thus obtained and applying a finishing treatment. This method is characterised in that all operations are carried out using a dry raw material at negative or positive temperatures so as to prevent condensate formation or humidification of the raw material. The middlings can be disintegrated using planetary grinders for autogenous grinding and/or roller presses.
