PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a material for an organic EL element with a low voltage, and a high efficiency; and an organic EL element arranged by use of such a material.

SOLUTION: A material for an organic EL element is expressed by the general formula (1) below. In the formula, X1 to X7 independently represent hydrogen, deuterium, halogen, an alkyl group, an aryl group or the like; Ar1 and Ar2 represent an aryl group or the like; and L is a divalent coupling group of which the triplet is 2.5 eV or higher.

【課題】低電圧、高効率の有機EL素子用材料、それを用いた有機EL素子を提供する。
【解決手段】有機EL素子用材料は下記一般式(1)で表される。
