The optic adhesives according to the invention are used for bonding ready-machined optic components to one another under high accuracy requirements to give optical systems. In addition, they can be used for bonding different materials, for example metals to optical assemblies. It is an object of the invention to prepare photocurable ester-ether optic adhesives by stepwise bulk polymerisation of (1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl methacrylates and acrylates. In the first step, brief irradiation of the aligned optic components is intended to achieve immediate fixing. The optic components bonded by the optic adhesive are intended to remain thermally separable over an extended period, and it should be possible in this step to remove the optic adhesive from the separated optic components by means of organic solvents. The final fixing is intended to take place in the second step by thermal polymerisation. The object is achieved by polymerising solutions of (2,2-dialkyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl methacrylate in steps by means of a free radical-forming photoinitiator and a suitable cationic initiator, alone or in combination with 2,2-bis(1,4,6-trioxaspiro-4,4-nonane-2-methyloxyphenyl)propane or 2,2-bis[p-(2-hydroxy-3-methacryloxypropoxy)phenyl]propane.
