The invention concerns a device for supplying electric power by thermoelectric conversion, comprising a converter (C) consisting of a plurality of thermocouples connected in series, and having a hot surface (28) exposed to a heat source and a cold surface (30) connected to a rod (32) made of good heat conducting material or by a heat pipe to a radiator (34), the rod (32) or heat pipe and the radiator (34) being protected from the heat and hot gases by a sheath (40). Said device enables to power a transistor radio receiver from the heat generated by a kerosene lamp or a hurricane lamp.
