(EN) There is provided an earth cutting apparatus, system and method. The earth cutting apparatus includes a plurality of articulated elements including at least a first element and a second element hingedly connected to the first element. The second element defines an aperture therein. An earth 5 cutting hook is provided and includes a proximal end which is affixed to the first element and an earth cutting end capable of slidably extending through the aperture of the second element so as to be moveable between a retracted position and an extended position. Hinged movement of the second element relative to the first element causes the earth cutting end of the earth cutting hook to slidably extend from the second element to the extended position, and hinged movement of 0 the second element in an opposite direction causes the earth cutting member to slidably retract to the retracted position.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil, un système et un procédé de coupe de terre. L'appareil de coupe de terre comprend une pluralité d'éléments articulés comprenant au moins un premier élément et un second élément relié de manière articulée au premier élément. Le second élément définit une ouverture en son sein. Un crochet de coupe de terre (5) est fourni et comprend une extrémité proximale qui est fixée au premier élément et une extrémité de coupe de terre pouvant s'étendre de façon coulissante à travers l'ouverture du second élément de façon à être mobile entre une position rétractée et une position étendue. Le mouvement articulé du second élément par rapport au premier élément amène l'extrémité de coupe de terre du crochet de coupe de terre à s'étendre de manière coulissante à partir du second élément vers la position étendue, et un mouvement articulé du second élément dans une direction opposée amène l'élément de coupe de terre à se rétracter de manière coulissante vers la position rétractée.
