CLAIMS

What is claimed is:

1.) A mobile air supply cart 101 for supplying breathing air to a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 comprising:

a. A first compressed air cylinder 110,

b. A second compressed air cylinder 111 ,

c. A third compressed air cylinder 112,

d. Means for securing said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said air supply cart 101 , e. A regulator 121 having an outlet port 122 having means for placing a hose 123 connected to the gas hose portion 134 of a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102,

f. First, second, and third outlet pipes 113, 114, and 115, connected to the first, second and third compressed air cylinders 110, 111 and 112,

g. A four-way manifold 126 connecting the outlet pipes 113, 114 and 115 to the regulator 121 ,

h. Means for receiving air from a source of compressed air 108 remote from said air supply cart 101 , and

i. Means for reducing the pressure of said air delivered from said air cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said outlet port 122 placed in flow communication with and between said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 and said outlet port 122.

2.) The mobile air supply cart 101 according to Claim 1 , wherein said air supply cart 101 further comprises at least two wheels 106 rotatably coupled thereto to facilitate transporting said air supply cart 101.

3.) The mobile air supply cart 101 according to Claim 1 , wherein said air supply cart 101 further comprises a platform 109 for storing a breathable air and water hose 102.

The mobile air supply cart 101 according to Claim 2, wherein said air supply cart 101 comprises a base 103 to which said wheels 106 are coupled and a frame 107 to which said means for securing said cylinders 110, 111 , and 112 to said air supply cart is mounted, said frame 107 having means for being detached from said base 103.

The mobile air supply cart 101 according to Claim 1 , further comprising means for selectively placing said outlet port 122 in flow communication with two of the said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 while isolating the other one of said cylinders 110, 111 or 112 from said outlet port 122, said air supply cart 101 directing air from two of said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to the gas hose portion 134 of the breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102, said means for placing said outlet port 122 in flow communication with any of said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 comprising means for simultaneously connecting said means for receiving air from a remote source 108 to the remaining cylinder 110, 111 or 112 for filling said cylinder 110, 111 or 112 and to said outlet port 122 for supplying the gas hose portion 134 of the breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102, thereby permitting recharging of said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 without interrupting air supply.

The mobile air supply cart 101 according to Claim 5, wherein said means for placing said outlet port 122 in flow communication with any of said cylinders 110, 111 or 112 while isolating the other said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 from said outlet port 122 further comprises a manifold 126 in flow communication with said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 and with pressure reducing means.

The mobile air supply cart 101 according to claim 6, wherein said means for receiving compressed air from a compressed air source 108 remote from said cart comprises connecting the remote compressed air source 108 to the refilling cylinder 110, 111 or 112, and turning the remote compressed air source 108 on to dispense air into the refilling cylinder 110, 111 or 112.

The mobile air supply cart 101 according to claim 6, further comprising a second outlet port 131 disposed in said manifold 133, said second outlet port 131 having means for placing a second air and water hose apparatus 102 in flow communication with said cart 101 , whereby said cart 101 is capable of simultaneous supplying breathing air to at least two breathable gas and water hose apparatuses 102.

A mobile air supply system 100 which allows for breathing air to be supplied to a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 having:

a. A first compressed air cylinder 110,

b. A second compressed air cylinder 111 ,

c. A third compressed air cylinder 112,

d. An air supply cart 101 for transporting said cylinders 110, 111 and 112, said air supply cart 101 having:

i. Means for securing said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said air supply cart

101 ,

ii. A regulator 121 having an outlet port 122 having means for placing a hose connected to the gas hose portion 134 of a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102,

iii. First, second, and third outlet pipes 113, 114, and 115, connected to the first, second and third compressed air cylinders 110, 111 and 112, iv. A four-way manifold 126 connecting the outlet pipes 113, 114 and 115 to the regulator 121 ,

v. Means for receiving air from a source of compressed air 108 remote from said air supply cart 101 , and

vi. Means for reducing the pressure of said air delivered from said air

cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said outlet port 122 placed in flow

communication with and between said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 and said outlet port 122.

The system of Claim 9 wherein the outlet port 122 is connected to the gas hose portion 134 of a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 and the breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 is connected to the breathing apparatus of a user in need of an air supply.

A method for providing breathing air to a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 comprising the steps of:

a. Providing a mobile air supply cart 101 for supplying breathing air to a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 and further comprising:

i. A first compressed air cylinder 110

ii. A second compressed air cylinder 111

iii. A third compressed air cylinder 112,

iv. Means for securing said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said air supply cart

101 ,

v. A regulator 121 having an outlet port 122 having means for placing a hose 123 connected to the gas hose portion 134 of a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102,

vi. First, second, and third outlet pipes 113, 114, and 115, connected to the first, second and third compressed air cylinders 110, 111 and 112, vii. A four-way manifold 126 connecting the outlet pipes 113, 114 and 115 to the regulator 121 ,

viii. Means for receiving air from a source of compressed air 108 remote from said air supply cart 101 , and

ix. Means for reducing the pressure of said air delivered from said air

cylinders 110, 111 and 112 to said outlet port 122 placed in flow

communication with and between said cylinders 110, 111 and 112 and said outlet port 122.

b. Providing a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102; and

c. Connecting the outlet port 122 to the gas hose portion 134 of a breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102; and

d. connecting the breathable gas and water hose apparatus 102 to the breathing apparatus of a user in need of an air supply.

The method of Claim 11 , further comprising the steps of:

a. Closing a shut off valve 124 on one but not all of the air cylinders 110, 111 or 112;

b. Refilling the air cylinder 110, 111 or 112 with breathable air by connecting it to a remote source of air 108; and

c. Opening the shut off valve 124 on the air cylinder.
