In the garnet A3-xB5O12:Dx, A is selected from lutetium, yttrium, gadolinium, terbium, scandium, another rare earth metal or mixtures thereof. B is selected from aluminum, scandium, gallium, indium, boron or mixtures thereof. D is at least one dopant selected from chromium, manganese and rare earth metals, particularly cerium, praseodymium or gadolinium. The dopant is present with x is 0 ≤ x ≤ 2.

La présente invention concerne un matériau comprenant un grenat présentant la composition représentée par la formule A3-xB5O12:Dx et un oxyde contenant du baryum. Dans le grenat de formule A3-xB5O12:Dx, A est choisi parmi le lutétium, l'yttrium, le gadolinium, le terbium, le scandium, un autre métal du groupe des terres rares ou des mélanges de ceux-ci; B est choisi parmi l'aluminium, le scandium, le gallium, l'indium, le bore ou des mélanges de ceux-ci; D est au moins un dopant choisi parmi le chrome, le manganèse et les métaux du groupe des terres rares, notamment le cérium, le praséodyme ou le gadolinium. En ce qui concerne le dopant, x satisfait à la relation 0 ≤ x ≤ 2.
