Embodiments of the present invention disclose a hermetic seal apparatus for a portable electronic device. According to one embodiment, the sealing apparatus includes a first housing 102 and a second housing 104 that are connected together at a common end. A receiving member 108 is formed continuously around an interior surface of the first housing, while a receiving member 112 is formed continuously around an interior surface of the second housing. Furthermore, the engaging member is configured to fit hermetically within the receiving member so as to seal the first housing with the second housing.

Des modes de réalisation de la présente invention portent sur un appareil de joint hermétique pour dispositif électronique portable. Selon un mode de réalisation, l'appareil d'étanchéification comprend un premier boîtier 102 et un second boîtier 104 qui sont raccordés l'un à l'autre au niveau d'une extrémité commune. Un élément récepteur 108 est formé de façon continue autour d'une surface intérieure du premier boîtier, tandis qu'un élément récepteur 112 est formé de façon continue autour d'une surface intérieure du second boîtier. En outre, l'élément de solidarisation est configuré pour s'ajuster hermétiquement à l'intérieur de l'élément récepteur de façon à étanchéifier le premier boîtier avec le second boîtier.
