(EN) A method for securing suture to bone comprises drilling a hole in a desired portion of bone at a desired procedural site, passing a strand of suture through a portion of soft tissue to be approximated to the portion of bone, and extending the free suture ends proximally from the soft tissue. The suture is loaded into an anchor implant Using an inserter, on a distal end of which is attached the anchor implant, the anchor implant is manipulated into the bone hole. The suture is then tensioned to a desired level by pulling on the free suture ends, after the anchor implant is positioned in the bone hole. The free suture ends are wrapped about a suture cleat on an inserter handle once the desired tension level is achieved.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de fixation d'une suture à l'os consistant à percer un trou dans une partie d'os souhaitée à un site d'opération souhaité, à passer un fil de suture à travers une partie de tissu mou à rapprocher de la partie d'os, et à étendre les extrémités libres de la suture de façon proximale à partir du tissu mou. La suture est chargée dans un implant à ancrage. A l'aide d'un instrument d'introduction, à une extrémité distale duquel est fixé l'implant à ancrage, l'implant à ancrage est manœuvré dans le trou de l'os. La suture est alors mise sous tension à un niveau souhaité en tirant sur les extrémités libres de la suture, une fois que l'implant à ancrage a été positionné dans le trou de l'os. Les extrémités libres de la suture sont enroulées autour d'une clavette sur une poignée de l'instrument d'introduction une fois que le niveau de tension souhaité a été obtenu.
