Marble chips formed by curing of a resin composition comprising an acrylic cross-linking monomer and a binder, which is selected from the group consisting of a halogenated urethane acrylate, a halogenated epoxy acrylate, and a mixture thereof is disclosed. An artificial marble containing the marble chips of the present invention may have a similar appearance and texture to an engineered stone, as well as good thermal processability and moldability, which are advantages of acrylic artificial marble.

Cette invention concerne des éclats de marbre formé par durcissement d'une composition de résine comprenant un monomère de réticulation acrylique et un agent liant, lequel est sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant un acrylate d'uréthane halogéné, un acrylate d'époxy halogéné, et un mélange de ceux-ci. Cette invention concerne également un marbre artificiel contenant les éclats de marbre décrits dans cette invention, lequel marbre artificiel peut avoir une apparence et une texture similaires à celles d'une pierre modifiée, ainsi qu'une bonne facilité de traitement thermique et une bonne aptitude au moulage, lesquelles caractéristiques constituent des avantages du marbre artificiel acrylique.
