A sensor kit comprising a sensor for detecting an analyte, a sensor housing and a calibration chamber. The calibration chamber comprises a first compartment containing a first calibration solution and a second compartment containing a source of the analyte to be detected. A dividing material is located between the first and second compartments enabling them to be mixed on breakage or removal of the dividing material. Further compartment(s) containing further source(s) of the analyte may optionally be provided. Calibration can carried out by (a) taking a reading of the analyte concentration of the first calibration solution, (b) mixing the contents of the first and second compartments by breaking or removing the dividing material, and (c) taking a reading of the analyte concentration of the resulting mixture. Steps (b) and (c) can be repeated for further compartment(s) to provide further reading(s) if desired.

Cette invention concerne un kit de capteur comportant un capteur d'analyte, un logement de capteur et une chambre d'étalonnage. La chambre d'étalonnage comporte un premier compartiment qui contient une première solution d'étalonnage et un second compartiment qui contient une source de l'analyte à détecter. Un matériau de séparation se situe entre les premier et second compartiments, le mélange des deux substances est possible lors de la rupture ou du retrait du matériau de séparation. Il est possible de prévoir éventuellement d'autres compartiments contenant d'autres sources de l'analyte. L'étalonnage peut se faire (a) en effectuant une lecture de la concentration en analyte de la première solution d'étalonnage, (b) en mélangeant le contenu des premier et second compartiments en rompant ou en retirant le matériau de séparation, et (c) en effectuant une lecture de la concentration en analyte du mélange résultant. Il est possible de répéter les étapes (b) et (c) pour d'autres compartiments afin de fournir d'autres lectures si cela est souhaité.
