An image acquisition sensor of a digital image acquisition apparatus is coupled to imaging optics for acquiring a sequence of images. Images acquired by the sensor are stored. A motion detector causes the sensor to cease capture of an image when the degree of movement in acquiring the image exceeds a threshold. A controller selectively transfers acquired images for storage. A motion extractor determines motion parameters of a selected, stored image. An image re-constructor corrects the selected image with associated motion parameters. A selected plurality of images nominally of the same scene are merged and corrected by the image re- constructor to produce a high quality image of the scene.

L'invention concerne un capteur d'acquisition d'images d'un appareil numérique d'acquisition d'images qui est relié à une optique de formation d'images permettant d'acquérir une séquence d'images. Les images acquises par le capteur sont mémorisées. Un détecteur de mouvement amène le capteur à arrêter l'acquisition d'une image lorsque le degré de mouvement lors de l'acquisition de l'image dépasse un seuil. Un contrôleur transfère sélectivement les images acquises en vue d'une mémorisation. Un extracteur de mouvement détermine les paramètres de mouvement d'une image sélectionnée, mémorisée. Un dispositif de reconstruction d'image corrige l'image sélectionnée grâce aux paramètres associés de mouvement. Une pluralité sélectionnée d'images, théoriquement de la même scène, sont fusionnées et corrigées par le dispositif de reconstruction d'image afin de produire une image de haute qualité de la scène.
