L'invention s'appuie sur un dispositif de transmission d'un véhicule automobile, muni d'une unité d'actionnement (10), laquelle est prévue pour supprimer une position dent sur dent (43) de moyens d'accouplement (20), en particulier de moyens d'accouplement à crabots. A cet effet, l'unité d'actionnement (10) est prévue pour actionner un frein de transmission (11; 11´; 11´´) lorsqu'une position dent sur dent (43) est détectée.
