A composition comprises an impact modifier and a compatibilized blend of a poly(arylene ether) and an aliphatic-aromatic polyamide. The polyamide is composed of dicarboxylic acid units comprising 60 to 100 mol % of terephthalic acid units and diamine units comprising 60 to 100 mol % of 1,9-nonanediamine units and/or 2-methyl-1,8-octanediamine units. The polyamide has an amine end group content greater than 45 micromoles per gram of polyamide.

Une composition comprend un modificateur d'impact et un mélange compatibilisé d'un poly(arylène éther) et d'un polyamide aliphatique-aromatique. Le polyamide est composé d'unités d'acide dicarboxylique comprenant entre 60 et 100 % molaires d'unités d'acide téréphtalique et d'unités de diamine comprenant de 60 à 100 % molaires d'unités de 1,9-nonanediamine et/ou des unités de 2-méthyl-1,8-octanediamine. Le polyamide a une teneur en groupes d'extrémité aminé supérieur à 45 micromoles par gramme de polyamide.
