An optical multilayer film comprising a hard coat layer and a low refractive index layer of aerogel formed, in this order, directly or through a different layer on one surface of a basic material film containing transparent resin, and satisfying following expressions [1], [2] and [3], where nH is the refractive index of the hard coat layer and nL is the refractive index of the low refractive index layer. Expression [1]: nL≤1.37 Expression [2]: nH≥1.53 Expression [3]: √nH-0.2<nL<√nH+0.2 The optical multilayer film is useful as the antireflection protective film of an optical member, especially as the polarizing plate protective film.

Cette invention porte sur un film optique multicouche comprenant une couche de revêtement dur ainsi qu'une couche à faible indice de réfraction d'aérogel formées, dans cet ordre, directement ou par l'intermédiaire d'une couche différente sur une surface d'un film de matière de base contenant une résine transparente, et satisfaisant aux expressions suivantes : nL $m(F) 1,37 [1] ; nH $m(G) 1,53 [2] ; et $m(R)nH-0,2 < $m(R)nH+0,2 [3], dans lesquelles nH désigne l'indice de réfraction de la couche de revêtement dur et nL désigne l'indice de réfraction de la couche à faible indice de réfraction. Le film optique multicouche peut être utilisé comme film protecteur antireflet d'un élément optique, en particulier comme film protecteur d'une plaque de polarisation.
