(EN) Disclosed is an automated staining apparatus (autostainer) capable of staining sample on a microscope slide. The autostainer is capable of limiting the amount of reagent used through a process including image acquisition and processing techniques, wherein an image of the slide is acquired and used to determine a region on the slide to be stained. Also disclosed are methods of using images acquired by the autostainer in sample processing. In addition, a system comprising the autostainer functionally linked to an imaging system is provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil automatique de coloration des lames capable de colorer un échantillon sur une lame de microscope. Ce colorieur automatique est capable de limiter la quantité de réactif utilisé grâce à un traitement incluant une acquisition d'image et des techniques de traitement et permettant d'acquérir une image de la lame et d'utiliser cette image pour déterminer une région à colorer sur la lame. L'invention concerne également des procédés d'utilisation des images acquises par le colorieur automatique pendant le traitement des échantillons. L'invention concerne enfin un système comprenant le colorieur automatique fonctionnellement relié à un système d'imagerie.
