CLAIMS
1. A method of adjusting the temperature of glass sheets in a tempering furnace provided with rollers, in which method the glass sheets (4) are led on a roller (3) conveyer through the tempering furnace (1), the glass sheets (4) being heated from above and from below, and the glass sheets (4) being oscillated in a reciprocating manner on the rollers (3), characterized in that the temperature of the glass sheets (4) is measured inside the tempering furnace (1) and the dwell time of the glass sheets (4) in the furnace is adjusted by means of said measuring result
2 A method as claimed in claim ^characterized in that the oscillation time is adjusted by adjusting the oscillation speed
3 A method as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the oscillation time is adjusted by adjusting the oscillation length
4 A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, char-acterized in that a typical heating curve for glass sheets is determined and the oscillation time of the glass sheets (4) is adjusted based on the measured temperature value such that the temperature of the glass follows the heating curve as closely as possible.
5. A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, char-acterized in that the temperature of the glass is measured inside the tempering furnace (1) at the glass movement stop point
6. A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the temperature is measured at a plurality of points in the tempering furnace (1).
7. A method as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that there are several temperature measuring points parallel to each other
8 A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the temperature is measured by a pyrometer (7)
9 A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, char- acterized in that the location of the glass sheets (4) is determined before they are transferred into the tempering furnace (1), and said determination serves to ensure that there is a glass sheet (4) at the temperature measuring point in the tempering furnace (1) at the time of measuring
10 An equipment for adjusting the temperature of glass sheets in a tempering furnace provided with rollers, the equipment comprising a tempering furnace (1), means for heating the glass sheets (4) from above and from below, horizontal rollers (3) inside the tempeπng furnace (1) for supporting horizontal glass sheets (4) and forming their conveyor, the rollers (3) being adapted to oscillate the glass sheets (4) in a reciprocating manner during heating, characterized in that the equipment comprises means for measuring the temperature of the glass sheets (4) during heating and means for adjusting the dwell time of the glass sheets in the furnace by means of said measuring result
11 An equipment as claimed in claim 10, characterized in that the equipment also comprises means for adjusting the oscillation time of the glass sheets (4)
12 An equipment as claimed in claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the equipment comprises means for controlling the temperature measuring means such that the temperature of the glass sheets (4) is meas-ured at the oscillation turning point

1. A method of adjusting the temperature of glass sheets in a tempering furnace provided with rollers, in which method the glass sheets (4) are led on a roller (3) conveyer through the tempering furnace (1), the glass sheets (4) being heated from above and from below, the glass sheets (4) being oscillated in a reciprocating manner on the rollers (3), and the temperature of the glass sheets (4) being measured inside the tempering furnace (1) characterized in that the temperature of the glass sheets (4) is measured during heating and the dwell time of the glass sheets (4) arranged in the furnace (1) upon the measurement of the temperature is adjusted by means of said measuring result.
2. A method as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the oscillation time is adjusted by adjusting the oscillation speed.
3. A method as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the oscillation time is adjusted by adjusting the oscillation length.
4. A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that a typical heating curve for glass sheets is determined and the oscillation time of the glass sheets (4) is adjusted based on the measured temperature value such that the temperature of the glass follows the heating curve as closely as possible.
5. A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the temperature of the glass is measured inside the tempering furnace (1) at the glass movement stop point.
6. A method as claimed in any one of the previous claims, char- acterized in that the temperature is measured at a plurality of points in the tempering furnace (1).
7. A method as claimed in claim 6, characterized in that there are several temperature measuring points parallel to each other.

An equipment for adjusting the temperature of glass sheets in a tempering furnace provided with rollers, the equipment comprising a tempering furnace (1), means for heating the glass sheets (4) from above and from below, horizontal rollers (3) inside the tempering furnace (1) for supporting hori-zontal glass sheets (4) and forming their conveyor, the rollers (3) being adapted to oscillate the glass sheets (4) in a reciprocating manner during heating, and means for measuring the temperature of the glass sheets (4) inside the tempering furnace (1), characterized in that the equipment comprises means for measuring the temperature of the glass sheets (4) during heating and means for adjusting the dwell time of the glass sheets arranged in the furnace (1) upon the measurement of the temperature by means of said measuring result.
11. An equipment as claimed in claim 10, characterized in that the equipment also comprises means for adjusting the oscillation time of the glass sheets (4).
12. An equipment as claimed in claim 10 or 11, characterized in that the equipment comprises means for controlling the temperature measuring means such that the temperature of the glass sheets (4) is measured at the oscillation turning point.
13. An equipment as claimed in claim 10 to 12, characterized in that there are several means for measuring the temperature.
14. An equipment as claimed in claim 13, characterized in that there are several parallel means for measuring the temperature.
15. An equipment as claimed in claim 10 to 14, character-i z e d in that the means for measuring the temperature is a pyrometer (7).
