The present invention provides a general assay methodology suitable for the detection of organic analytes which are neither aldehydes nor ketones and for inorganic substances. The methodology utilizes prepared sensitized films of derivatizing agents and specific developer solutions for the selective and controlled formation of light scattering crystals whose presence serves as a qualitative and/or quantitative measure of the individual analyte of interest in the sample.

L'invention concerne une méthodologie d'analyse générale adaptée pour la détection d'analytes organiques qui ne sont ni des aldéhyydes ni des cétones, ainsi que pour la détection de substances inorganiques. La méthodologie utilise des films sensibilisés préparés d'agents de transformation en dérivé, ainsi que des solutions de développeur spécifiques permettant la formation sélective et régulée de cristaux de diffusion de lumière dont la présence sert de mesure qualitative et/ou quantitative de l'analyte d'intérêt individuel se trouvant dans l'échantillon.
