PURPOSE: A photochromic diopter polarized sunglasses lens and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase the production and application field by mixing a transparent polymer, a copolymer, and a transparent copolymer with a spiro(indole) naphthoxyl compound or a spiro bensopyrene compound.

CONSTITUTION: A polarizer(8) is produced by dyeing iodide particles over a polyvinylalcohol film in a boric acid solution and drying the polyvinylalcohol film. A diopter plate(5') comprised of tens of diopter lenses is formed. The diopter lenses are made of a mixture of transparent polymer. A photochromic lens plate(5") is formed by mixing the mixture with a spiro(indole) naphthoxyl compound or a spiro bensopyrene compound(17). The polarizer(8) and the photochromic lens plate(5") are fixed to each other through an ultraviolet resin(9) or glue. A layered plate is formed by arranging tens of photochromic diopter polarized sunglasses lenses. A hard coating material(13) is applied on the layered plate in order to prevent a scratch.

선글라스에 얼마만큼의 색조를 첨가해야만 밝은 곳을 볼 때 눈이 부시지 않고, 어두운 곳을 볼 때 침침하게 보이는 현상이 없어질까? 정답이 없는 질문이다. 밝은 곳을 눈부시지 않게 보고자 기준을 잡고 색조를 부여했다면 짙은 색을 첨가했을 터이니까 어두운 곳에서 침침할 것이요, 반대로 어두운 곳을 침침하지 않게 보고자 기준을 잡아 색조를 부여했다면 보다 옅은 색을 첨가했을 터이니까 밝은 곳에서 눈이 부실 수 밖에 없다. 즉 고정된 색조를 가진 선글라스 렌즈로는 양쪽을 모두 다 편안하게 볼 수가 없다.
