VCO 의 공진기는 미세 튜닝 메인 버랙터 회로, 보조 버랙터 회로, 및 인덕턴스와 병렬로 커플링되는 코어스 튜닝 커패시터 뱅크 회로를 포함한다. 메인 버랙터 회로는 개별적으로 디스에이블링될 수 있는 복수의 회로 부분들을 포함한다. 각각의 회로 부분 내에는 회로 부분 내의 버랙터 제어 노드 상에 미세 튜닝 제어 신호 (FTAVCS) 또는 온도 보상 제어 신호 (TCAVCS) 중 선택된 하나를 공급하는 멀티플렉싱 회로가 있다. 회로 부분이 인에이블되면 FTAVCS 는 제어 노드 상에 공급되어, 회로 부분이 미세 튜닝에 사용된다. 회로 부분이 디스에이블되면, TCAVCS 는 제어 노드에 공급되어 회로 부분이 온도의 함수로서 VCO 주파수 드리드트를 방지하는 데 사용된다. TCAVCS 의 전압이 온도에 따라 변화하는 방식은 디지털 방식으로 프로그래밍가능하다.
