PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion tester capable of performing a plurality of types of tests different in required magnitude of torque and a frequency of an amplitude fluctuation.

SOLUTION: In a torsion tester, a driving part 120 includes; a servo motor 122; a first speed reducer 123 for reducing rotation of the servo motor 122 at a first reduction ratio; a shaft 126 for transmitting an output from the first speed reducer 123; a clutch 124 provided with an input shaft fixed with the shaft 126; a second speed reducer 125 for reducing rotation of an output shaft of the clutch 124 at a second reduction ratio; a chuck 121 that is rotatably supported; and coupling means for switchably coupling one of the shaft 126 and an output shaft of the second speed reducer 125 to the chuck 121.

【課題】1台の試験機で、必要なトルクの大きさや振幅変動の周波数が異なる複数種類の試験を行えるようにする。
【解決手段】駆動部120は、サーボモータ122と、サーボモータ122の回転を第1の減速比で減速する第1の減速機123と、第1の減速機123の出力を伝達するシャフト126と、入力軸にシャフト126が固定されたクラッチ124と、クラッチ124の出力軸の回転を第2の減速比で減速する第2の減速機125と、回転可能に支持されたチャック121と、シャフト126及び第2の減速機125の出力軸の一方を切り換え可能にチャック121に連結する連結手段を備える。
