PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording body having a superior color developing sensitivity and image quality in which a saturated fatty acid amide is incorporated into a substrate of the heat-sensitive recording body to make it low in density, and a specified color developing agent is incorporated into a heat-sensitive layer.

SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording body provided with the heat-sensitive recording layer comprising a colorless or light-colored electron-donating leuco dye and an electron accepting color developing agent on the substrate, the substrate comprises the saturated fatty acid amide, and the heat-sensitive recording layer comprises a dihydroxydiphenylsulfone compound expressed by the general formula of the figure, wherein R1 and R2 are each independently a 1-8C alkyl group or alkenyl group or a halogen atom, and p and q are each independently an integer of 0-3.

【課題】感熱記録体の支持体に飽和脂肪酸アミドを含有させて低密度化させると共に、感熱記録層に特定の顕色剤を含有させて、優れた発色感度や画質を有する感熱記録体を提供する。
【解決手段】支持体上に、無色ないし淡色の電子供与性ロイコ染料及び電子受容性顕色剤を含有する感熱記録層を設けた感熱記録体において、該支持体が飽和脂肪酸アミドを含有し、該感熱記録層が下記一般式で表わされる感熱記録体。
