PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance maintainability while dispensing with re-learning, when changing and repairing a robot drive.

SOLUTION: Operating and setting parameters of a robot drive 14 at an installation location are stored in an easily removable storage device on the drive or nearby so that special data, such as that associated with arm design and system layout, including learning stations, can remain associated with the robot drive and installation whereby the drive system can be installed or replaced in minimal time since the storage device does not need reprogramming. This removable storage device, in the form of Master Key, may be embodied by a Dallas Key or E Prom or the like, and be affixed to the robot body or off board nearby. Thus, when a robot drive is replaced, by affixing the original Key to the new robot or nearby, it will take over all of the parameters of the initial robot.

【課題】ロボットドライブを交換・修理する際、再度学習させることを不要とし、保守性を向上すること。
【解決手段】ロボットドライブ14の操作及び設定パラメータが、該ドライブ装置若しくはその近傍に設置され、着脱可能な記憶装置に記憶され、学習ステーションを含むアームデザインやシステムレイアウトに関連するデータがロボットドライブに関連して保持され、記憶装置の再度のプログラムが不要となるため、ドライブシステムのインストールや交換という導入作業時間が最小で済む。マスターキーの形態をとる着脱可能な記憶装置は、ダラスキー(DallasKey)、イープロム(Eprom)等で具体化され、ロボット本体若しくはその近傍に固定される。従ってロボットドライブを交換する際にもとのキーを新しいロボット若しくはその近傍に固定すると、ロボットドライブは当初のロボットドライブの保有パラメータを全て承継する。
