PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent a working mixed gas in an operating chamber from leaking into a driving chamber, and also to suppress the lowering of its refrigerating capacity by installing a rod sealing device and a gas sealing device as a sealing means of a rod extending as piercing through a partitioning member, and interposing an intermediate chamber communicating to the driving chamber, between both these sealing devices.
SOLUTION: A Stirling refrigerating unit as a gas compression expander is provided with an operating chamber fitted with a compression piston (or a displacer) 7 connected to one end of a piston rod (hereinafter referred to as a rod) 22. In addition, a piston driving mechanism fitted in a driving chamber 12 is connected to the other end of the rod 22, therefore this compression piston 7 is reciprocated by this driving mechanism. Here a rod sealing device 93 preventing any lubricating oil in the driving chamber 12 from penetrating into the operating chamber 21 and a gas sealing device 94 preventing any working mixture in this operating chamber 21 from penetrating into an intermediate chamber 91 both are installed in a partition part 9 partitioning off the operating chamber 21 and the driving chamber 12 where the rod 22 is pierced through, and then the intermediate chamber 91 is interconnected to the driving chamber 12 via a filter 97.
