Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines keramischen Formkörpers, der eine einstellbare Volumenänderung (Schwindung, Nullschwindung oder Volumenzunahme) gegenüber seinem Grünkörper erlaubt. Zur Lösung dieses Problems wird nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren ein Metalloxidpulver und ein Metallpulver in einem kolloidalen Sol zu Schlicker verrührt und dieser Schlicker sodann in einer Form zu einem Grünkörper konsolidiert und schließlich der Grünkörper in aktiver, ein Oxidieren des Metallpulvers ermöglichender Atmosphäre zu dem Formkörper gesintert. Die Erfindung befaßt sich weiterhin mit einem Schlicker für einen solchen Formkörper sowie einem solchen Formkörper und vorteilhaften Anwendungen für diesen Formkörper.

Method for production of a molded body from ceramic material in which a metal oxide powder and metal powder are stirred in a colloidal sol to form a slip which is consolidated in a mold to give a green body, especially by freeze gelation, which is then sintered in an active atmosphere with oxidation of the metal powder to give the molded body. - Independent claims are included for: - (1) a slip comprising a suspension of metal oxide powders in a colloidal sol; - (2) a ceramic shaped body obtained by reaction sintering under an oxidative atmosphere from a green body, seminoble or nonnoble metal or an alloy of this metal, or an intermetallic alloy; - (3) a composite component made from a ceramic shaped body and a carrier, where a metal powder is added to the slip for the shaped body, resulting in a volume change on sintering and a consequent press fit between the shaped body and carrier.
