Die Erfindung betrifft ein Ortungsgerät, insbesondere handgehaltenes Ortungsgerät zur Detektion von Einschlüssen in Wänden, Decken und/oder Böden, mit einer in einem Gehäuse angeordneten kapazitiven Sensorvorrichtung, mit Mitteln zur Erzeugung eines Detektionssignals der mindestens einen kapazitiven Sensorvorrichtung, mit einer mit der Sensorvorrichtung verbundenen Steuer- und Auswerteeinheit zur Ermittlung von Messwerten aus dem Detektionssignal sowie mit einer Ausgabeeinheit zur Wiedergabe von Messwerten der kapazitiven Sensorvorrichtung. DOLLAR A Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, dass ein Messkondensator (16) der kapazitiven Sensorvorrichtung (10) eine erste Elektrode (21) aufweist, die eine Fläche des Gehäuses (14) der Sensorvorrichtung (10) umfasst.

The capacitive sensor has a measuring capacitor (16) with a first electrode (21) provided by a conductive surface of the housing of the capacitive sensor.
