The high-speed burnishing drill consists of a cylindrical drill body having a drill edge and a reamer edge at the front end portion thereof, the drill edge inclining from the centre of the front end of the drill body in the diametric direction thereof and axially rearward, the diameter of the outermost circumferential surface of the drill edge being smaller than a maximum diameter of the drill body. The reamer edge extends from a position on the inner side of the outermost end of the drill edge in the diametrically outward direction which crosses the drill edge and it inclines in the axially forward direction at a second cutting angle. A smaller-diameter portion extending from the outermost end of the drill edge in the axial direction is extended in the axially rearward direction. A larger-diameter guide surface extends from the outermost end of an inclined surface, which is formed on the rear side in the rotational direction of the drill edge, in the axial direction, and the foremost end of this larger-diameter guide surface is positioned on the axially rear side of the reamer edge. @(24pp Dwg.No.1/14)@
