In a riding-type rice planting machine, seedling-planting mechanisms (17) for planting seedlings in a farm field are arranged side-by-side in the lateral direction of the machine. A clutch mechanism (20) for stopping planting of seedlings in a particular row and engaging and disengaging the drive of the seedling-planting mechanism is provided for each seedling-planting mechanism or for each pair of seedling-planting mechanisms. Clutch levers (21, 22, 23) for the clutch mechanisms (20) are installed near an operation seat (8) where the worker sits, and the clutch levers (21, 22, 23) are installed such that the seedling-planting mechanisms are driven when the clutch levers are rotated forward and are stopped when they are rotated backward. The levers are arranged so that their operating positions can be easily and accurately identified at a glance to improve operability and reduce erroneous operations. The clutch levers are constructed so that they are tilted rearward to a horizontal position or to near a horizontal position when they are rotated rearward.
