The invention provides a method and a device for switching, which can reduce switching time delay and improve switching efficiency. The method comprises the steps that a source node sends first indication information to a client node, the first indication information is used for indicating a first time slot for beam training between a target node and the client node and a second time slot for datatransmission between the source node and the client node, and the first time slot and the second time slot are not overlapped; and the client node receives the first indication information, performsbeam training with the target node in the first time slot according to the first indication information, and performs data transmission with the source node in the second time slot.
