Provided are a surface treatment device which is excellent in structure and can stably support a conveying clamp for conveying along the track on the away position above a surface treatment tank, and a workpiece-holding jig. The surface treatment device includes the surface treatment tank for receiving treatment liquid and having an upper opening, first and second guide rails, and a plurality of conveying clamps. The first and second guide rails extend along the direction parallel to the length direction of the surface treatment tank from the position away from the part above the upper opening of the surface treatment tank, and the conveying clamps are configured in the treatment liquid of the surface treatment tank to respectively hold workpieces and are supported on the first and second guide rails. Each conveying clamp includes a horizontal arm extending in the second direction, a first guided part supported at one end side of the horizontal arm and guided by the first guide rail, a second guided part supported at the other end of the horizontal arm and guided by the second guide rail, and a vertical arm facing downwards from the horizontal arm at the position between the first guided part and the second guided part to hold the corresponding workpiece.
