A device for measurement of pressure in fluids, comprising a cylindrical housing having a pressure port, an inner cavity and an opening. A closed pipe is situated in the cavity and closes the opening in the housing and establishes a cavity between the pipe and the inner wall of the housing. A connection element is situated in the pipe, so that one end of the element is connected to the free end of the pipe for transfer of axial length change of the pipe, whereas the connected element is arranged for establishing a cavity between the connection element and the pipe. An optical fiber is laid in a slot in the external surface of the housing, and comprises a Bragg grating fixed between the housing and the connection organ by fastening points. Pressure induced expansion of the pipe is transferred to the Bragg grating.
