This invention relates to a method and a system for enabling access to an information network and the monitoring of information products or services available thereon. The invention includes a method and a system for enabling users to access information networks using a prepaid system. The invention relates to the interfacing of user actions with an electronic purse (58), used to pay for information products (59) and services (60). Furthermore, the invention allows for access to an information network such as the Internet using a pay-as-you-go type accounting system. Users deplete their available credit as they use or access services or products and can replenish them in real time or when access is again needed. The credit balance is stored at the user base or on one or more databases (52, 53) of at least one or more of the following: the Internet service provider, the financial institution or the administrator. The credits could be used to purchase other products available from sites that are accessible on the information network.

A process and product for the treatment of textile fabrics to reduce or prevent greying and/or restore whiteness are described. In the process, the fabrics are first soaked in a low-pH aqueous liquor containing a material, preferably citric acid/sodium citrate, capable of converting deposited blueing agent to a colourless product and of binding Fe ions; the fabrics are then soaked in a bleaching liquor, for example, containing a dichlorocyanurate bleach, then rinsed and dried. The process may suitably be carried out by hand. The product comprises two separately packaged particulate compositions for generating the two liquors; these are preferably packed in sachets.

According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a process for manufacturing a spiral concentrator unit including the steps of providing a first mould (10) for moulding an inner, slurry bearing polyurethane layer; providing a fibreglass backing layer (13), located so as to create an enclosed cavity (12) between the first mould and the backing layer; and filling the mould cavity (12) with polyurethane, allowing the polyurethane to cure and bond with the backing layer (13) so as to produce a spiral trough with a uniform, high wear resistant inner layer of polyrethane and a relatively cheaper fibreglass backing layer.

LOADING OF A MOTOR OF A ROAD VEHICLE

This invention relates to a device (10) for loading a motor of a road vehicle. The device (10) includes a pair of vehicle drive wheel support rollers (12, 14) arranged in tandem about parallel axes (16, 18). The device (10) further includes drive means drivingly interconnecting the rollers (12, 14) to control rotation of the rollers (12, 14) relative to each other to be in the same direction and at a predetermined, peripheral speed ratio unequal to 1:1. When driving the rollers (12, 14) via a drive wheel of the vehicle, the discrepancy in peripheral speeds between the drive wheel and at least one roller (12, 14) causes drag and thus loading the motor. The invention extends to a method of loading a motor of a road vehicle, and also to an arrangement for loading a motor of a road vehicle.

This invention relates to an article of exercise equipment (10) which includes a punch pad (12) and a plurality of delineated target zones (14) provided on a striking surface (16) of the punch pad (12). This invention extends to an article of exercise equipment 10 which includes mounting means (20) whereby the article of exercise equipment (10) is dismountably mountable on a support, a punch pad (12), and connecting means (22) connecting the punch pad (12) to the mounting means (20) to permit displacement of the punch pad (12) relative to the mounting means (20) from a rest position, towards which it is resiliently biassed, to a displaced position. The invention extends further to an exercise apparatus (60) which includes an aerobic exercise device (62) and at least one punch pad (12) mounted to the exercise device (62) and displaceable relative thereto by a user (66) of the exercise device (62) from a rest position, towards which it is resiliently biassed, to a displaced position.
