The press consists of a horizontal drum in which a screw spindle is mounted centrally. The two ends of the spindle have threads with opposing angle. At each end of the spindle a disc is mounted which can rotate with the drum. The two discs will move towards one another on the screw spindle when the drum is rotated. The drum is built up from a centre piece and two end pieces which are axially separated from the centre part, so that in-between spaces are formed, which are covered by drum sections. These sections are mounted on the drums by means of rollers and can be locked to the frame or can rotate, driven by friction, with the rotating drum. In the locked position, the charge for the press can be loaded through a cut out in one section and the end product removed through the cut-out in the other segment.

The subject of the invention relates to a disinfecting device for a toilet seat. A stuffer box crimper has several units each including a stuffing chamber defined by a peripheral channel in a rotating heated roll and a steel belt surround and moving with the heated roll. Yarn is fed into the stuffing chamber by a pair of feed rolls whereby it is compressed into a plug and the heated roll and feed rolls are driven from separate shafts via electromagnetic clutches to allow the transmission of drive to the heated roll and feed rolls to be interrupted in the event of yarn breakage. Pref. the heated roll and feed rolls can be braked mechanically or electromagnetically as can the yarn take-up device. Pref. the crimped yarn passes to the yarn take-up device around a pair of smooth rolls which are driven from the drive shaft of the feed rolls and which act to equalize yarn tension. In the event of shutdown the smooth rolls continue rotating and the yarn slips on them. A single unit can be shut down when yarn breakage occurs without affecting operation of the other units.
