Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a layered battery with which it is possible to efficaciously avoid either the occurrences of short-circuits or abrupt short-circuits, which can be manufactured easily, and with which it is possible to minimize manufacturing costs. [Solution] Provided is a layered battery, comprising a layered electrode body formed by layering a cathode plate (1) in which a cathode active material layer (1a) is formed upon a cathode current collector body and an anode plate in which an anode active material layer is formed upon an anode current collector body are layered with a separator (3a) interposed therebetween, wherein the cathode plate (1) and the anode plate further comprise a cathode lead (11) and an anode lead which respectively protrude from the peripheral edge parts thereof. A protective layer (13A) is formed from an optically curable resin in the cathode lead (11) and/or the anode lead at a site which is adjacent to the cathode active material layer (1a) and/or the anode active material layer.
