Abstract:
A negative-electrode material which comprises particles of a negative active material that are capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions and that comprise an element capable of undergoing an alloying reaction with lithium or/and an element compound capable of undergoing an alloying reaction with lithium. At least 85 vol.% of all the particles of a negative active material, which are taken as 100 vol.%, have a particle diameter of 1 µm or larger. The particles of a negative active material have a BET specific surface area of 6 m2/g or less and a D50 of 4.5 µm or larger.
