Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an aluminum alloy casting having excellent filiform corrosion resistance while ensuring strength equal to or greater than that of the prior art. An aluminum alloy casting having excellent filiform corrosion resistance, wherein the aluminum alloy casting contains 6.5-11.8 mass% Si, 0.20-0.45 mass% Mg, and 0.01-0.20 mass% Fe, the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities, the average value of the DASII of a surface layer section 1 mm or less from the surface of the casting is 30-50 µm or less, and the content of Fe included in a surface layer section 10 µm or less from the surface of the casting is 50 mg/m2 or less.
