Title: DOUBLE-SIDED ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR HAVING LARGE CURRENT CAPACITY AND HIGH-FREQUENCY SIGNAL TRANSMISSION
Abstract:
A double-sided electrical connector having a high current capacity and high-frequency signal transmission, which can be mated and electrically connected with a mating connector in positive-and-reverse bidirectional manner, and which comprises: an insulating base (30); a tongue plate (10), which is an insulator and which is located in front of the insulating base (30), the two sides of the tongue plate (10) which have larger surfaces being two connecting surfaces (14); two rows of contacts, which are provided at the two connecting surfaces of the tongue plate (10), and which are formed in at least one row of terminals (20), wherein said at least one row of terminals (20) is provided with a power terminal, a ground terminal and two signal terminals, and said terminals (20) are integrally provided with a contact (22), an extension portion (24) and a pin (26); and a metal shell (40), which is nested and positioned at the outside of the insulating base (30) and covers the tongue plate (10), and a connecting groove (41) is formed within the metal shell (40); the width of at least parts, or the most parts, or the entirety of each of the power terminal and the ground terminal of said at least one row of terminals (20) which are connected to the extension portion and the pin by means of the contacts, is greater than the USB A TYPE Association standard, i.e., 1.0 mm, thereby increasing a cross-sectional area of the power terminal and the ground terminal so as to facilitate large-current transmission.
