(EN) PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more economical method and apparatus for decomposing diluted organic substances contained in waste water, especially trace hazardous organic substances, such as agricultural chemicals, in waste water containing them which can perform detoxification of a large volume of diluted waste water.

SOLUTION: The waste water is injected into the water under high pressure by using an orifice or a nozzle to promote the effect of decomposition of organic substances by cavitation, and at the same time in order to use OH radicals generated by the cavitation, a reaction layer of titanium dioxide is disposed ahead of an injection port to use the catalytic effect of titanium dioxide for the decomposition. Titanium dioxide particles are disposed in the high-pressure jet flow into a container, which increases a reaction field, and decomposes the diluted organic substances in the waste water by using the catalytic effect of titanium dioxide. The pressure of a pump for generating the high-pressure jet flow can be greatly reduced in comparison with convention methods to reduce the pressure resistant strength of a treatment device to half or less.

【課題】廃水に含まれる希薄な有機物、特に農薬などの有害な有機物を微量に含んだ廃水中の当該有機物の分解方法及び装置に関し、大量の希薄廃水の無害化処理を行うことができるより経済的な上記方法及び装置を提供する。
【解決手段】廃水をオリフィスやノズルを用いて水中に高圧で噴射し、キャビテーションによる有機物分解効果を促すと同時にキャビテーションにより発生したOHラジカルを活用するために、噴射口の前方に二酸化チタンの反応層を配置し、二酸化チタンによる触媒効果をも分解に併せて利用する。容器内への高圧噴流の噴流中に二酸化チタン粒子を配置することにより反応場を拡大し、かつニ酸化チタン粒子の触媒効果を活かして廃水中の希薄な有機物を分解する。高圧噴流を生成させるためのポンプの圧力を従来方法より大幅に低くでき、処理装置の耐圧強度を半分以下に低減できる。
