The terminal screen shaking identification method comprises the following steps: detecting an acceleration in a preset direction of a terminal, and recording an initial acceleration during stabilization (S10); determining screen shaking time according to a detected acceleration variation, and acquiring an acceleration within the screen shaking time (S20); determining a maximum acceleration variation in combination with the acquired acceleration and the initial acceleration (S30); and determining a screen shaking direction according to whether the maximum acceleration variation is positive or negative (S40). The method and apparatus effectively avoid a situation of false identification caused by change of an acceleration direction in a screen shaking process, improve the accuracy of terminal screen shaking identification, and improve the user experience.
