A method of rollforming one-piece tubular doorbeams. The method includes the steps of drawing a continuous metal strip, creating cut-outs in the edges of the strip at spaced locations, rollforming the strip into a tube so that the unindented edges engage one another, welding the engaged edges together, cutting the tube in the areas of the cut-outs to create pre-forms, and opening the ends of the pre-forms to create end brackets. Additional optional steps provide customization of the end brackets.

A valve for selectively permitting a fluid flow between first and second medical implements is disclosed. The valve has a housing with an interface suitable for receiving a connector portion of a first medical device such as a catheter, and a seal made of a flexible material. The seal has a first end in fluid communication with the interface, a second end suitable for receiving the second medical device, and at least one slit in fluid communication with the first end and the second end. The slit defines a restricted fluid flow path and a relatively small interior volume when in an undisturbed state, defines an expanded fluid flow path and a larger interior volume upon the introduction of the second medical instrument into the slit, and retracts to define a restricted flow path and a small interior volume upon the withdrawal of the second medical device from the seal.

The subject devices are characterized by having a housing made of a cover and a base configured to retain a plurality of test strips. In certain embodiments, the height of the base is less than the height of each of the test strips, such that a portion of each of the test strips extends beyond the distal or top edge of the base. The subject devices may further be characterized as having a substantially air and moisture tight seal. In using the subject devices, a plurality of test strips stored in a subject device are provided. A single test strip is removed from the subject device by moving the test strip distal to the remaining test strips. An offshore field management system includes a composite riser (50), a floating buoy (80) and a service vessel (100). The riser (50) extends from a subsea well head (38) to the buoy (80). Conductors (74, 76) preferably provided in the riser (50), are connected with a well telemetry system. The buoy (50) has a floating or semi-submersible hull (82) that includes a hatch (90) covering a moonpool (86) for receiving the riser (50). The buoy (80) preferably includes satellite communication hardware (110) and computer systems in communication with the well telemetry system via riser embedded conductors (74, 76). The well environment can be remotely monitored using the buoy communication system. Servicing of the oilfield well is accomplished using the service vessel (100). The service vessel (100) is preferably a self-contained facility fitted with the equipment and materials necessary to carry out pre-determined well servicing operations. Service vessel personnel deploy the equipment and material into the riser (50) via the buoy hatch (90) after the buoy (80) has been docked in a bay (124) formed in the service vessel (100).
