A ball valve equipped with: a body 53 for housing, in a freely rotatable manner, a ball 52 in which a through-hole 52 is formed; an annular seat retainer 54 that is interposed between the body 53 and the ball 52 and is for holding a ball seat 56 that makes contact with the surface of the ball 52; and a U-ring 10 interposed between the body 53 and the seat retainer 54. The U-ring 10 comprises an annular main body 11 formed so as to have a U-shaped cross section, and an annular protruding part 13 protruding radially outward from the outer circumference of the main body 11. A tip-end side of the protruding part 13 is provided with an engaging part 14 formed so as to be thicker than a base-end side, and the base-end side of the engaging part 14 makes contact with the body 53, thereby forming a seal between the body 53 and the seat retainer 54.

L'invention concerne un clapet à bille équipé : d'un corps (53) pour loger, d'une manière librement rotative, une bille (52) dans laquelle est formé un trou traversant (52) ; d'un élément de retenue de siège (54) annulaire qui est interposé entre le corps (53) et la bille (52) et qui est destiné à maintenir un siège de bille (56) qui entre en contact avec la surface de la bille (52) ; et d'une bague en U (10) interposée entre le corps (53) et l'élément de retenue de siège (54). La bague en U (10) comprend un corps principal (11) annulaire formé de manière à avoir une section transversale en forme de U et une partie saillante annulaire (13) faisant saillie radialement vers l'extérieur à partir de la circonférence externe du corps principal (11). Un côté extrémité de pointe de la partie saillante (13) est pourvu d'une partie de mise en prise (14) formée de façon à être plus épaisse qu'un côté extrémité de base et le côté extrémité de base de la partie de mise en prise (14) entre en contact avec le corps (53), formant ainsi un joint d'étanchéité entre le corps (53) et l'élément de retenue de siège (54).
