An embolic material (10) which prevents flow of a biological fluid by being placed in a body lumen via a catheter (90), the embolic material (10) comprising a material that swells by contacting the biological fluid. The embolic material (10) includes a long filler (12) that is formed smaller than an inner diameter of the catheter (90). The filler (12) prevents the flow of the biological fluid by bending when brought into contact with the biological fluid due to the difference in swelling characteristics between a first side portion (14) and a second side portion (16) that extend in parallel in a longitudinal direction.

L'invention concerne un matériau embolique (10) qui empêche l'écoulement d'un fluide biologique en étant placé dans une lumière corporelle par l'intermédiaire d'un cathéter (90), le matériau embolique (10) comprenant un matériau qui gonfle par mise en contact du fluide biologique. Le matériau embolique (10) comprend un remplisseur long (12) qui est formé plus petit qu'un diamètre interne du cathéter (90). La charge (12) empêche l'écoulement du fluide biologique par flexion lorsqu'elle est mise en contact avec le fluide biologique en raison de la différence de caractéristiques de gonflement entre une première partie latérale (14) et une seconde partie latérale (16) qui s'étendent en parallèle dans une direction longitudinale.
