(EN) The purpose of the present invention is to provide a composition for a secondary battery electrode, the composition having excellent adhesiveness and dispersibility of active materials, being capable of preventing battery deterioration and failure due to moisture absorption, and enabling the manufacture of high capacity secondary batteries. The present invention is a composition for a secondary battery electrode, the composition containing an active material, a binder, and an organic solvent, wherein the binder contains a polyvinyl acetal resin, and the polyvinyl acetal resin comprises an electron-donating group having an acid dissociation constant in water of less than 16, and an electron-accepting group, and has a polymerization degree of 250 to 800 and a hydroxyl group amount of 35 to 70 mol%.
