(EN) An end surface incident-type light receiving element according to an aspect of the present disclosure is configured of a semiconductor material, and is provided with: an upper surface and a lower surface which are opposed to each other in a vertical direction; and an end surface which links the ends of the upper surface and the lower surface and which is disposed on the side of a light source for irradiating light. At least a part of the end surface is inclined with respect to the vertical direction so that the lower surface side is closer to the light source than the upper surface side. The lower surface has one or a plurality of grooves. An inclined surface on the end surface side of the one or the plurality of grooves is disposed so as to reflect light that has entered from the light source via the end surface. The upper surface is provided with a light receiving region for receiving light that has been reflected by the inclined surface on the end surface side of the one or the plurality of grooves.
(FR) Un aspect de la présente invention concerne un élément de réception de lumière de type incident de surface d'extrémité constitué d'un matériau semi-conducteur, et comportant : une surface supérieure et une surface inférieure qui sont opposées l'une à l'autre dans une direction verticale; et une surface d'extrémité qui relie les extrémités de la surface supérieure et de la surface inférieure et qui est disposée sur le côté d'une source de lumière pour irradier de la lumière. Au moins une partie de la surface d'extrémité est inclinée par rapport à la direction verticale de telle sorte que le côté de surface inférieure est plus proche de la source de lumière que le côté de surface supérieure. La surface inférieure comporte une ou plusieurs rainures. Une surface inclinée sur le côté de surface d'extrémité de la rainure ou de la pluralité de rainures est disposée de façon à réfléchir la lumière qui a pénétré à partir de la source de lumière par l'intermédiaire de la surface d'extrémité.
