(EN) Provided is a backlight device 12 equipped with: an LED 17; a light guide plate 19, a portion of an outer peripheral end surface of which constitutes a light incident end surface 19a to which light from the LED 17 enters, and one of a pair of plate surfaces of which constitutes a light output plate surface 19b from which light is emitted and the other thereof constitutes an opposite plate surface 19c; an LED substrate 18 having a mounting surface 18a on which the LED 17 is mounted, the LED substrate 18 being arranged such that a portion thereof overlaps a portion of the light guide plate 19 on the opposite plate surface 19c side; and an anchoring member 25 anchored to the mounting surface 18a in a portion of the LED substrate 18 and to the opposite plate surface 19c in a portion of the light guide plate 19, the anchoring member 25 having a light-absorbent anchoring layer 27 formed by having a light-absorbing material contained in an anchoring material.
