This organic electroluminescence element comprises the following: a transparent substrate; a transparent electrode that is constituted by silver or an alloy the main component of which is silver, and that is provided on one main surface of the transparent substrate; a light-emitting functional layer that has a light emitting layer constituted by an organic material and that is provided on the one main surface of the transparent substrate with the transparent electrode interposed therebetween; and an opposing electrode that is provided on the one main surface of the transparent substrate with the light-emitting functional layer interposed therebetween. In addition, the organic electroluminescence element has a configuration in which between the transparent substrate and the transparent electrode, from the transparent substrate side, the following are stacked in the order given: a scattering layer; an organic layer; and a metal movement prevention layer that contains at least one from among MoO3, Pd, Fe, Mn, Ga, Ge, In, Ni, and Co, and that has a film thickness of no more than 1nm.

La présente invention concerne un élément électroluminescent organique qui comprend : un substrat transparent ; une électrode transparente qui est constituée d'argent ou d'un alliage dont le composé principal est l'argent et qui est disposé sur une surface principale du substrat transparent ; une couche fonctionnelle électroluminescente qui présente une couche électroluminescente constituée d'un matériau organique et qui est disposée sur la première surface principale du substrat transparent, l'électrode transparente étant intercalée entre les deux ; et une électrode en regard qui est disposée sur la première surface principale du substrat transparent, la couche fonctionnelle électroluminescente étant intercalée entre les deux. De plus, l'élément électroluminescent organique présente une configuration selon laquelle, entre le substrat transparent et l'électrode transparente, à partir du côté du substrat transparent, les éléments suivants sont empilés dans l'ordre donné : une couche de diffusion ; une couche organique ; et une couche empêchant le mouvement du métal qui contient au moins un élément parmi les éléments suivants : MoO3, Pd, Fe, Mn, Ga, Ge, In, Ni et Co, et dont l'épaisseur de film est inférieure ou égale à 1 nm.
