(EN) Provided is a photoacoustic measurement device such that even when a puncture needle is penetrating to a deep position from the surface of a subject, it is possible to confirm the position of the puncture needle in a photoacoustic image. Also provided is a puncture needle that is used for such a photoacoustic image generation device. The puncture needle (14) is a hollow needle with an opening on the leading end thereof. The puncture needle (14) comprises a puncture needle main body (31) and a light guide (32). The light guide (32) extends along the longitudinal direction of the puncture needle main body. The light guide (32) guides light from a light source toward the leading end direction and at least partially emits light toward the puncture needle main body (31).
