This adjusting device, which is connected to a load and to multiple parallel-connected storage batteries and adjusts the voltage difference between the storage batteries, is provided with a switch for each storage battery which is provided between the storage battery and the load and which switches ON during a detection period for detecting the current from the storage batteries, a detection means which detects the current outputted from each of the storage batteries in the detection period, and an adjusting means for controlling, on the basis of the detection results of the detection means, the ON/OFF state of the switch in during an adjusting period for adjusting the voltage difference such that the voltage difference between the multiple storage batteries decreases.
